Section 16.18.010 Statutory authorization.
Prior to the adoption of Ord. 2010-19 on 09/22/2010, Section 16.18.010 read as follows.
The legislature of the state has delegated the responsibility to local governmental units
to adopt regulations designed to promote the public health, safety and general welfare of
its citizenry. Therefore, the City Council of Vernal, Utah, does ordain as follows.
The Legislature of the State of Utah has delegated the responsibility of
local governmental
units to adopt regulations designed to minimize flood losses. Therefore, Vernal, Utah, does
ordain as follows:
