Prior to the adoption of Ord. 2010-19 on 09/22/2010, Section 16.18.070 read as follows.

The areas of special flood hazard identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency in its flood insurance rate map (FIRM) dated March 18, 1986, is adopted by reference and declared to be part of this chapter. The FIRM is on file at the Vernal City Office, 447 East Main, Vernal, Utah, 84078.

The areas of special flood hazard identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency in a scientific and engineering report entitled, "The Flood Insurance Study for Vernal dated October 6, 2010, Uintah County," with accompanying Flood Insurance Rate Maps and Flood Boundary-Floodway Maps (FIRM and FBFM) and any revisions thereto are hereby adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this ordinance. Vernal automatically adopts all effective FEMA Flood Insurance Rate maps and all effective FEMA Flood Insurance Studies (PZSC § 03-08-006 (2))
