This chapter shall be entitled the "Subdivision Code of Vernal City" and may be cited and pleaded. The purpose of this code shall be to promote the health, safety and welfare, and to promote the prosperity, improve the morals, peace and good order, comfort, convenience and aesthetics of the City and its present and future inhabitants; to encourage and facilitate the orderly use, growth and development of the land within the City; and to establish the rights, duties and responsibilities of subdividers with respect to the subdivision of land. The City Council may establish, by resolution, fees to cover the costs of subdivision plan review and inspection required improvements. (PZSC § 03-28-001)
