Section 16.58.420 Street lights.
Prior to the adoption of Ord. 2008-07 on 05/07/2008, Section 16.58.420 read as follows.
A. Street lights with thirty (30) foot steel poles
made from steel or another material as
approved by Vernal City
shall be installed at each intersection within or abutting the
subdivision in accordance with
Vernal
City and Utah Power & Light Company
the local
electric utility's
specifications. Street lights may also be required for locations where
intersections within or abutting the subdivision are further than five hundred (500) feet
from each other; such locations to be determined by Vernal City. All street lighting shall
be provided with underground circuitry as provided by Vernal City and Utah Power &
Light Company
the local electric utility company's
specifications. All street lighting
installation must be completed before occupancy in the subdivision is allowed by Vernal
City.
B. In lieu of installing street lights in a subdivision
the developer may elect, prior to
the final development plat being approved by the Vernal City Council, to make payment
to Vernal City for the actual cost for the installation of the required street lights in the
subdivision; such costs to be determined by Vernal City and Utah Power & Light
Company
the local electric utility
. Upon receiving payment from the subdivider, Vernal
City shall cause that all street lights be installed by Utah Power & Light Company under
the supervision of Vernal City. (PZSC § 03-28-006 (9))
