Chapter 3.15 MUNICIPAL TRANSIENT ROOM TAX
Section 3.15.020 Purpose.
A. The 1997 Session of the Utah Legislature has authorized
municipalities of the
State of Utah to enact a municipal transient room tax on the rents charged to transients
occupying public accommodations in an amount that is less than or equal to 1% of the
rents charged.
B. It is the purpose of this Chapter to conform the municipal
transient room tax of
Vernal City to the requirements of Utah Code Annotated, 59-12-352. (Ord. No. 97-20,
