A.    Contracts for professional services exceeding $5,000.00 shall be awarded at the discretion of the Vernal City Council, upon recommendation of the City Manager, for services which include, but are not limited to:

    1.    Auditing;

    2.    Banking;

    3.    Insurance;

    4.    Engineering;

    5.    Architecture;

    6.    Legal services.

    B.    Contracts shall be awarded at the discretion of the City Council based on evaluation, professional qualification, service ability, cost of service and other criteria deemed applicable by the Vernal City Council, Mayor and the City Manager.

     C.    Contracts for professional services less than $5,000.00 shall be approved by the Mayor. (Added during 1993 recodification, amended Ord. No. 97-28,  06/25/97)
