Section 5.04.310 Regulatory provisions--Generally.

In addition to the specific regulations contained herein, all businesses licensed in the City under the provisions of this title shall be subject to regulation by the City to the full extent provided under applicable state statutes and local ordinances, especially those state statutes which expressly provide that a City may regulate businesses in order to abate nuisances and protect the health, safety and welfare of the people. To that end, the City License Clerk shall inspect, or shall authorize to have inspected by a competent person or persons in the employ of the City or other competent governmental entity, prior to the issuance of any required business license, the physical property on which the business is located and the structure within which it is located for purposes of determining that all applicable City and/or state building codes, including but not limited to fire, safety, structural, plumbing and health, have been complied with, and that all other ordinances regulating the use of land for agricultural, commercial, industrial, manufacturing or residential purposes have been complied with satisfactorily. The specific regulations hereinafter specified in this chapter must be adhered to. (Prior code § 11-21-001)
