Chapter 5.04 BUSINESS LICENSES GENERALLY
Section 5.04.440 Revocation of license upon conviction of making false statements.
Whoever shall make or file with the License Clerk under the
provisions of this title a false
statement under oath shall, after proper hearing and on conviction thereof, forfeit his license and
pay a fine not exceeding two hundred ninety-nine (299) dollars. It shall be the duty of the
License Clerk to carefully examine all statements filed with him/her and to prosecute all
violations of this title according to law; provided, that before instituting any such prosecution,
he/she shall give the person making such statement an opportunity of explaining the statement
and correcting it, if inadvertently made. (Prior code § 11-03-0040)
