Section 5.04.440 Revocation of license upon conviction of making false statements.

    Whoever shall make or file with the License Clerk under the provisions of this title a false statement under oath shall, after proper hearing and on conviction thereof, forfeit his license and pay a fine not exceeding two hundred ninety-nine (299) dollars. It shall be the duty of the License Clerk to carefully examine all statements filed with him/her and to prosecute all violations of this title according to law; provided, that before instituting any such prosecution, he/she shall give the person making such statement an opportunity of explaining the statement and correcting it, if inadvertently made.
