Chapter 5.08 DEFINITIONS
Section 5.08.240 Hawker or peddler.
"Hawker" or peddler" means any person, or
the agent, servant or employee of any person,
selling or offering for sale any article or thing, except newspapers or magazines, from a stand,
wagon or other vehicle abutting upon any street or alley or in or upon any public or open ground;
and any person who makes public outcries or speeches, blows horns, whistles, rings bells or
makes any other noise or gives any musical or other entertainment to attract notice or customers
to his wares, whenever the same may be sold, except that ice cream vending machines are not
included in this section. A hawker or peddler travels from place to place and sells and delivers at
