Section 5.08.585 Temporary sales event.

"Sales event" means where two (2) or more merchants display any goods, wares or services at a location in Vernal City for the purpose of sale or soliciting orders to be filled in the future for financial gain or profit.

A. Temporary sales events for the purpose of this section, shall not include the following types of sales events, providing, however, that the sponsor shall be required to have a City license for the event, but shall not be required to pay any fee for doing such:

1. Sales events that are a part of a community approved festival, carnival, display, show or similar activity and sponsored whether by the State or local government agency within the corporate limits of Vernal City.

2. Sales events sponsored substantially for benevolent or charitable purposes. (Ord. No. 98-13, Enacted, 05/20/98)
