Chapter 5.20 ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
Section 5.20.010 License--Required.
It is unlawful for any person to engage in the business of
the sale of alcoholic beverages or to
permit any person to consume alcoholic beverages, or to possess alcoholic beverages on which
the seal has been broken, at any premises without first having procured a license therefor from
the City License Clerk as provided in this title where required, and from the Department of
Alcoholic Beverage Control of the state where required. Licenses issued under the provisions of
this chapter shall be in accordance with Title 32A, Alcoholic Beverage Control, Utah Code
Annotated 1953, as amended, and also Chapter 10 of Title 11, Utah Code Annotated 1953, as
amended. Licenses issued under the provisions of this Chapter to permanently licensed premises
shall be issued in the same name as the person, partnership, or corporation under which the
business is licensed in accordance with Chapter 5.04 of this Title. (Prior code § 11-05-001)(Ord.
