Chapter 5.20 ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
Section 5.20.080 Class B license.
A. A class B retail license shall entitle the licensee
to sell beer for consumption on
the premises in open containers in any size not exceeding two (2) liters and on draft.
B. A class B licensee shall only be issued by the City
to a bona fide restaurant, where
a variety of hot food is prepared and cooked and complete meals are served to the general
public in connection with indoor dining accommodations and which food sales constitute
at least sixty (60) percent of the gross dollar value of the licensee's business.
C. A class B licensee shall also obtain an on-premises
beer retailers license from the
State
of Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control
and comply with all provisions
thereof.
D. Minors shall not be employed to sell or dispense beer
on a premises with a class B
license. Servers of beer must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older and wear an
identification badge showing the employee's first name, and a number assigned by the
employer. An employee of a licensee who sells or serves beer must complete an alcohol
server training and education seminar within six (6) months of commencing employment
as required by the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
E. No person may bring nor shall any person be allowed
to bring into the premises
any alcoholic beverage for consumption on the premises. (Prior code § 11-05-008)
