Chapter 5.32 AMUSEMENT DEVICES
Section 5.32.020 Definitions.
For the purpose of this chapter, the following words shall
have the meanings defined herein:
A. "Amusement device" means
any amusement machine or device, whether mechanically or
electronically operated, by means of the insertion of a coin, token or similar object, for the
purpose of amusement or skill and for the play of which a fee is charged, or a device similar to
any such machine or device, but which has been manufactured, altered or modified so that
operation is controlled without the insertion of a coin, token or similar objects. The term does not
include coin-operated phonographs, ride machines designed primarily for amusement of children,
or vending machines in which are not incorporated features of chance or skill.
B. "Person" is meant to
include individual natural persons, partnerships, joint ventures,
societies, associations, clubs, trustees or corporations. (Prior code § 11-08-002)
