Chapter 5.33 FRANCHISE - CABLE COMMUNICATIONS
Section 5.33.001 Franchise required.
No person or company or provider shall be permitted to construct and/or operate
and
maintain any cable system which is subject to the Cable Communications Policy Act of
1984, as amended, (the Act). without first obtaining a franchise, and then entering into a
franchise agreement with the City. Any cable operator not subject to the Act that is
providing cable service in competition with a cable system subject to the Act must first
obtain a franchise and enter into a franchise agreement with the City.
