Section 5.36.153 Mobile vending restrictions.

The following restrictions shall apply to any mobile food vendor within the city limits of Vernal City:

A. A mobile food vendor shall not vend on streets where the speed limit exceeds twenty-five (25) miles per hour.

B. A mobile food vendor shall vend only when the vending vehicle or cart is lawfully parked.

C. A mobile food vendor shall vend only from the curb side or rear of the vending vehicle, away from moving traffic and as near as possible to the curb or edge of the roadway.

D. A mobile food vendor shall not vend to any person standing in the roadway.

E. A mobile food vendor shall not back the vending vehicle to make or attempt a sale.

F. A mobile food vendor shall not permit any unauthorized person to ride on or in the vending vehicle.

G. If selling on private property, shall have paved parking in accordance with Chapter 16.26.230 and shall provide one parking space for each employee and five spaces for customers.
