Chapter 5.48 SALVAGE AND WRECKING SHOPS
Section 5.48.030 Recordkeeping requirements.
Every person licensed to conduct a salvage or wrecking business
within the City shall keep an
accurate record in a proper book furnished by him for that purpose, of all transactions, in which
shall be entered a detailed statement of all motor vehicles, and all oil, diesel and gasoline motors
purchased or acquired by him for the purpose of salvaging or wrecking same. Such statement
shall include the name of the person from whom the same is purchased, together with the address
of such person, the date of the purchase, the motor number and serial number, (if any) of all
motors thus purchased or otherwise acquired, the make, type and year of the motor vehicle, and
the make and number of tires thus purchased or acquired and held or offered for resale. Such
record shall be available at all times for the inspection of any member of the Police Department.
