It is unlawful for any person conducting a wrecking, salvage or tire repair shop, used tire shop, repair shop or battery shop to use or occupy any part or portion of any street, avenue, alley, sidewalk or other public place for the purpose of storing, placing upon or displaying any goods, wares, merchandise, or thing or article whatsoever for the purpose of advertising such business.
