Chapter 5.72 BUSINESS REGULATION SEXUAL ORIENTED BUSINESS AND EMPLOYEES
Section 5.72.070 License - Business
It is unlawful for any person to operate a sexually oriented business without
a valid
sexually oriented business license issued by Vernal City. The business license shall
specify the type of business for which it is obtained.A. No license shall be
granted to
any business if the applicant has a conviction or plea of no contest to any of the "specified
criminal acts" as follows:
1. For a misdemeanor criminal
charge, two (2) years prior to the application date;
or,
2. For a conviction or plea of
no contest to a felony criminal charge five (5) years
prior to the application date to any of the specified criminal acts.
B. As used in the section "applicant" means
sole proprietors, individual partners,
principals, officers, directors, and any shareholder of more than ten percent (10%) of a
corporation, partnership, limited partnership, or other business entity.
