Section 6.04.200 Household pet.
Prior to the adoption of Ord. 2000-04 on 06/26/2000, Section 6.04.200 read as follows.
"Household p"P
et" means
a domesticated
animals ordinarily permitted in residences and
kept for the company or pleasure of residents, such as domesticated
rather than utility,
including, but not limited to
birds,
domesticated cats, and domesticated dogs. Household
pets also include tropical
fish,
hamsters, mice and other animals associated with man's
environment.
amphibians, reptiles or invertebrates of
a number that do not constitute a
health hazard or nuisance and can be safely kept in aquariums, cages, or enclosures within
the residence. Household pets shall not include the keeping of "vicious animals", "wild
animals", or "livestock", as defined in Title 6 of the Vernal City code. Furthermore,
household pets shall not include miniature horses, pygmy goats, and vietnamese pot-bellied pigs.
