Chapter 6.04 PURPOSE AND DEFINITIONS
Section 6.04.260 Wild animal.
"Wild animal" means any animal of a species that, in their natural
life, are wild. Those
animals, however domesticated, shall include, but not limited to:
A. Alligators and crocodiles;
B. Bears (Ursidae): all bears;
C. Cat family (Felidae): all
species
except the commonly accepted domesticated cats;
D. Dog family (Canidae): all
species
except domesticated dogs;
E. Porcupine (Erethozontidae);
F. Primate (Hominidae): all subhuman primates;
G. Raccoon (Prosynnidae): all raccoons, including
eastern raccoon, desert raccoon,
ring-tailed cat, etc.;
H. Skunks;

lizards, and spiders;

. Weasels (Mustelidaes): all, including weasels, martens, wolverines, ferrets,
badgers, otters, ermine, mink, mongoose, etc., except that persons raising members of this
family as a business for their pelts shall not be prohibited by this title.
The capture and
disposition of all wild animals shall be under the jurisdiction of the Division of Wildlife
Resources of the State of Utah.
