Section 6.12.150 Commercial animal establishments - licensing requirements.
Prior to the adoption of Ord. 2005-15 on 10/05/2005, Section 6.12.150 read as follows.
A. License Required. No person, partnership or corporation
shall operate a
commercial animal establishment, animal shelter or kennel without first obtaining a
business license in accordance with the Vernal City Business License Code, of the Vernal
City Revised Ordinances adopted or as may be hereafter amended.
B. Inspection of Premises. It shall be a condition of
the issuance of any license that
the licensing authority, Animal Control Officer, humane officer, or any peace officer
shall
be permitted to inspect all animals and the premises on which the animals are kept at any
time, and shall, if permission for such inspection is refused, revoke the license of the
refusing owner.
C. Disposition of animals. Any person whose license is
revoked shall, within ten (10)
days thereafter, humanely dispose of all animals owned, kept or harbored by such person
and no part of the license fee shall be refunded. (CC § 08-10-031; as amended during
