Section 6.16.020 Licensing - exemptions.

    A.    The provisions of Section 6.16.010 and 6.16.030 shall not apply to:
    1.    Dogs whose owners are nonresidents temporarily up to thirty (30) days residing within Uintah County;
    2.    Individual dogs within a properly licensed kennel or other such establishment when dogs are held for resale.
    3.    Dogs adopted or claimed from the City animal shelter  that will be relocated outside of the boundaries of Uintah County by owners residing outside the boundaries of Uintah County.
    B.    The license fee provisions of Sections 6.16.010 shall not apply to the following:
    1.    Seeing-eye dogs properly trained to assist blind persons, if such dogs are actually used by blind persons to assist them in moving from place to place;    
    2.    Hearing dogs properly trained to assist deaf persons, if such dogs are actually used by deaf persons to aid them in responding to sounds;
    3.    Dogs especially trained to assist officials of governmental agencies in the performance of their duties and which are owned by such agencies.
    C.    Nothing in this section shall be construed so as to exempt any dog from having a current rabies vaccination. (CC § 08-10-013)
