Chapter 6.20 IMPOUNDMENT - SHELTERING
Section 6.20.070 Fee exemptions.
A. No impound fee will be charged to the reporting owners
of a suspected rabid
animal if they comply with Chapter 6.24 of this code.
B. No impound fee will be charged on a legally licensed
dog on it first impound
yearly provided that the rabies and license tags are found on the animal at the time of
impound and provided the dog has not injured another animal or person, or is not
determined to be aggressive by the animal control officer or shelter manager.
C. No impound fee will be charged on a microchipped or
identified cat on its first
impound yearly provided the cat has received its rabies vaccination. (CC § 08-10-011)
