Section 8.12.010 Definitions.

    For the purpose of this chapter, the following terms, phrases, words and their derivations shall have the meanings given herein when not inconsistent with the context:
    A.    "Commercial and industrial properties" means all properties other than residential properties.
    B.    "Garbage" means and includes kitchen and table refuse and also every accumulation of animal waste, vegetable waste and other matter that attends the preparation, consumption, decay or storage of meat, fish, fowl, fruits and vegetables.
    C.    "Residential properties" means single family residences and residential duplexes.
    D.    "Waste matter" means and includes crockery, bottles, tin cans, trimmings from lawn and gardens, pasteboard boxes, rags, paper, cold ashes, sawdust shavings and packing material; but not including rocks, dirt, lawn sod, fence posts, wire, building materials and building or demolition waste, hot ashes or coals, bulky scrap metal (scrap iron or steel), oil, gas or paint, acid-type batteries, dead animals, car bodies and parts, furniture and major household appliances.
