A.    There shall be a Police Department consisting of a Chief of Police and subordinate police officers and other employees.

    B.    The Mayor shall, subject to the advice and consent of the City Council, appoint a person to act as Chief of Police. The Chief of Police may be removed from office by the governing body as otherwise provided by law. (Added during 1993 recodification)
