A.    There shall be a Volunteer Vernal City/Uintah County Fire Department consisting of a Volunteer Fire Chief and subordinate volunteer firefighters.

    B.    The Mayor shall, subject to the advice and consent of the City Council and Uintah County Commission, appoint a person to act as Volunteer Fire Chief. The Volunteer Fire Chief may be removed from office by the governing bodies of Vernal City and Uintah County as otherwise provided by law. (Added during 1993 recodification)
