Section 9.32.065 Definitions.

    A.    "Synthetic marijuana" except as provided in subparagraph B means a substance:
        1.    Containing the chemical JWH-018, JWH-073, HU-210, CP-47, 497, and / or a homologue of any of these chemicals; or
        2.    The chemical structure of which is substantially similar to the chemical structure of marijuana; or
        3.    Which has a substantially similar pharmacologic effect as marijuana.
    B.    Synthetic marijuana does not include a controlled substance scheduled in Schedules I through V of Section 58-37-4 Utah Code Annotated, or a controlled substance analog as defined in Section 58-37-2(1)(g) Utah Code Annotated.
    C.    "Marijuana" means all species of the genus cannabis and all part of the genus, whether growing or not; the seeds of it; the resin extracted from any part of the plant; and every compound, manufacture, salt, derivative, mixture, or preparation of the plant, its seeds or resin.
