Vernal City Public Hearing: Community Impact Board Funding for Planning Grant
The Vernal City Council is soliciting public input regarding the application of Vernal City to the Permanent Community Impact Fund Board of the State of Utah for the purpose of securing funding for a planning grant to explore the feasibility of a district heating and cooling system in Downtown Vernal. The application to the PCIB will request funding for a portion of the cost for the plan in the amount of $40,000. The total cost of the project is not expected to exceed $80,000 of which a portion will be matching funds from the City. This application is intended to fund a planning grant and the process to develop the plan. No loans or further financial commitment beyond the local match is required as part of the feasibility plan. The public is invited to give their input to the Vernal City Council regarding the submission of this funding application at a public hearing to be held June 15, 2022 at 7:15 p.m. in the Vernal City Council chambers, 374 East Main, Vernal, Utah.
