The Vernal City Council is soliciting public input regarding the application to the Permanent Community Impact Fund Board for the purpose of establishing a storm water drainage system by reclaiming the Central Canal channel.
The application for this project to the Community Impact Board is being submitted by Naples City. Vernal City and Uintah County are supporting partners. Costs for Vernal City will come from the transportation tax of Vernal City and will not include a loan or debt. Central Canal users are pursuing a project to pipe and enclose the open canal channel.
The public is invited to give their input to the Vernal City Council regarding the submission of this funding application at a public hearing to be held electronically on April 15, 2020 at 7:15 p.m. Information to join the hearing will be posted 24 hours before the meeting.
